"Hong Kong is a dynamic city: you can shop, hike, sunbathe, visit an outlying island and eat delicious food all in a single day"

Emerging from Hong Kong Airport into the blazing sun, 34 degree heat and 70% humidity, I knew I was very far from home. Nevertheless, working in our Hong Kong office (HKO) is a familiar experience - even the layout resembles Bunhill Row (with the notable exception of the amazing views across the Hong Kong skyline).
In keeping with our multi-specialist approach, the HKO is regularly involved in a range of finance, corporate and IPO transactions - I've recently been working on a debt restructuring deal for example, which combines both corporate and finance work.
Hong Kong is a dynamic city: you can shop, hike, sunbathe, visit an outlying island and eat delicious food all in a single day. You can even find yourself in mainland China in under an hour.
The jewel in Hong Kong's crown is undoubtedly the food. I'm currently engaged in a six month food tour, eating my way through a huge variety of noodles, seafood and hotpots. My Cantonese has also vastly improved through the challenges of ordering food in restaurants! My tip to future HKO secondees is to develop adventurous taste buds to experience the best that Hong Kong has to offer.
